In 2002, a group of enthusiasts formed around a common interest in reviving the supercomputing work of Control Data Corporation. That group formed under the name of "controlfreaks" and the following 20 years resulted in successfully generating a stable simulator of the original CDC hardware.  This project is Desktop CYBER (dtCyber).

Following the abandonment of the project in 2020, the domain, the wiki, historical mail list, archives and all other contents were revived as Retro1.Org

Retro1.org is comprised of communities of interest. The current communities and sample topics shared are:
